#15: Bitter-Sweet news
When we’re young, our taste buds are like a strong muscle – they can very easily tell the difference between tastes that are sweet and sour and even bitter. As we get older, though, this fine-tuned muscle begins to become more relaxed and it becomes harder to differentiate between these flavors.

You can start losing some of these tasting abilities beginning at the age of 60. Accordingly, you may find yourself adding more and more salt or sugar to a dish that you used to. This is because those taste buds are getting weaker and the sense of taste is not as strong as it once was.
