#17: Hands Up
In the unlikely event of an emergency on a plane, you have to think about two things: surviving the crash and then getting away from the wreckage. So you want to make sure that whatever you do to survive the initial collision also leaves you well enough to walk away from the event.

So I love this tip. We’ve all been taught to put our hands over the backs of our heads when we duck and cover, but if you do so in such a way that both of your hands are exposed to falling objects, you might end up with both injured. I’m going to remember this one for the future (although I hope very sincerely that I never have to use it).
