#12: Pets in the White House
Despite its grand size, the White House often feels lonely, prompting many first families to adopt pets, predominantly dogs, though some cats have made it their home. Having a pet, especially a dog, demands attention and care, particularly for its bathroom needs.

Contrary to what one might think, White House staff does not clean up after the First Family’s dogs. The responsibility of attending to their pets’ needs, including tidying up after them, falls solely on the members of the First Family themselves.
