#39: High Five

Ah, the high five. There’s nothing that says “friend zone” quite like a high five. It’s pretty customary to give a kiss goodnight at the end of a date, or at least a hug, if you don’t want to come on too strong. But a high five? A high five screams “friend zone”. You high five your friend or your wife, you don’t high five a girl on your first date.

This could be an indication of how the night went. Since the girl was expecting more than a high five, it looks like she felt differently about the date. Either way, there’s no better way to let someone know you’re not interested in them that way. You might be interested in them as friends, but nothing more serious than that.
