#60: Eyes Wide Shut

Perhaps this film is not so up for debate whether or not it is a Christmas film, but the fact it is set during Christmas pretty much makes this a Christmas film by association? Either way, director Stanley Kubrick is exceptionally good at placing Easter eggs in his films.

Kubrick is so flawlessly good at them in fact, that he managed to sneak in a photo of his actual cat into one of the scenes. Do you see the cat in the background of this scene? That is Jessica, Kubrick’s beloved cat that passed away.
