#5: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

It is quite common when a film pays respect to another film in one way or another. Usually through mention of a character or a famous scene. Well, the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and It’s a Wonderful Life may have more in common than we thought.

When you love Christmas as much as Clark Griswold, you will do anything to make it special. You might even sew off the newel post, just like George Bailey does in It’s a Wonderful Life. There is even a later point in the movie where you can see Griswold watching It’s a Wonderful Life.
