#17: Clever Dolphins

We all know that dolphins are intelligent, but just how smart are they? In a fascinating example of dolphin intelligence at a Marine Mammal Studies Institute, dolphins were trained to assist in cleaning up trash that accidentally fell into their pools in exchange for fish rewards. One particularly clever dolphin took this to a new level of cunning.

Instead of immediately turning in the entire piece of paper, it learned to hide portions of it under a rock, tearing off smaller bits as needed to receive more fish rewards.
