A Flamethrower Isn’t Enough

What’s the scariest bug you can think of? For some people, the thought of spiders, no matter how harmless to humans they are, will send shivers up their spines. We personally have a deep hatred for centipedes, but to each their own. At least we can all accept that creepy-crawly bugs are über gross.

But a few hundred million years or so, these tiny bugs weren’t so tiny. In fact, fossils show that dragonflies used to be as large as modern birds, and ancient cockroaches had 7.9-inch wingspans. Everybody’s gangsta until they see a cockroach take flight. Just thank your lucky stars modern roaches are smaller than our finger!
