27. The Speed of Light Is… Kind of Slow?

Huh. How can I immediately teleport to these theoretical alien civilizations to watch dinosaurs with them? This is an interesting fact, though, taking into account what we’ve learned so far about the speed light travels, and when thinking about us seeing the Andromeda galaxy, it makes sense.

It doesn’t make it any more entertaining, but it makes you wonder what these aliens might think were they to watch the dinosaurs all die to the meteor. Either way, seems a good way to introduce fourth graders to these sort of concepts, eh?
