22. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

Nina and Ian were co-stars on the popular teen vampire show, The Vampire Diaries, and had one of the hottest on- and off-screen relationships when they began dating in 2010. On-screen, Nina’s character, Elena, was in a love triangle with two vampire brothers, Damon (played by Ian) and Stefan. In real life, though, Nina’s choice was pretty clear.

Although their relationship was ill-fated and ended in 2013, the two remained friends and kept it professional on the set of The Vampire Diaries until Nina left the show. Although tabloids speculated and tried to start drama, the two of them insisted that Nina did not leave because of their breakup. It’s always nice when two people can rise above the drama and remain friendly with each other despite a breakup.
