Hair Texture
A person’s hair is often one of their most defining traits; having straight or curly hair, as well as having full or thin hair, is a way of life. Unlike some other physical traits, hair texture is not primarily inherited from one parent’s side. It results from a complex combination of genetic factors from both parents. Nonetheless, people often attribute hair texture predominantly to the mother’s side.

If both your parents have curly hair, it’s almost certain you’d also have curly hair. But even if only your mother has curly hair, it’s also safe to assume you’d have curly hair. However, it’s also important to understand that hair texture inheritance is not unilaterally tied to the mother’s genetics but rather a result of the intricate interplay of genetic and environmental factors from both parents and the individual’s unique genetic makeup.
