Sense of Humor
Having a sense of humor is a crucial trait to help us get through life’s challenges without losing our hope or sanity. It’s also a great trait to look for in a life partner. But where does it come from, and why does it come more naturally to some people? Sense of humor is a multifaceted trait influenced by different factors, including genetics. While a person’s upbringing, environment, and cultural influences undoubtedly play a role, there is evidence to suggest that a portion of one’s sense of humor may be inherited, particularly from the maternal lineage.

Genetic traits from both parents contribute to a person’s overall sense of humor, with the grandmother’s genes influencing her offspring, including her son or daughter. Consequently, it’s not uncommon for grandchildren to share a similar sense of humor with their grandmothers, forging strong connections through laughter.
