#59: Thor: Studio Oversight

Any time someone makes a movie, there’s always tension between the director, who is interested in their artistic vision and telling a good story, and the studio, who is interested in making money. Sometimes, those two goals align, but sometimes, they really, really don’t.

And that’s got to be especially hard in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where the higher-ups have a very specific vision of where they want things to go. So what if MCU movies that actually end up good are good because the higher-ups have given up on them?
