#35: Captain America: Red Skull

The first Captain America movie introduced Red Skull, a villain who was one of Cap’s main enemies in the comic books but who was really only around for the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (other than a later cameo I won’t spoil here).

Though different comic book iterations of Red Skull give a variety of explanations for his frightening appearance, the movie doesn’t say much about it. This fan came up with an interesting explanation. What do you think—would this be a good addition to the list of explanations for his face?
