#3: Batman: Names
Batman is an interesting character in that he can be very different depending on who’s using him in a show or comic. In the 1960s TV show, he is downright goofy. In recent movie iterations, he has been incredibly serious—perhaps to a fault. This fan theorizes that no matter how serious he gets, there is an element of hopefulness that is central to his character.

Personally, I think this is an interesting idea! What if one of the reasons that Batman chooses not to just shoot his opponents dead on the spot is that there is a part of him that always hopes that they can be redeemed?
