#19: The Incredibles: Robot Battle

If you’ve seen The Incredibles, you know that a major plot point is that Mr. Incredible fights a robot on a desert island and defeats it, not realizing that this is all part of a sinister plan by the film’s villain. His defeating the robot is seen as proof of him being a very powerful superhero. But what if there’s more to it than that?

This fan theorizes that the reason that he was able to beat it is that he was never its intended target. A robot that has been programmed to deal with one superhero’s particular set of powers might do a terrible job against a different superhero with a different set of powers.
