#15: Pirates of the Hospital

This scene could have been lifted straight from a pirate movie. Here, a patient is all set for eye surgery but is not in the usual hospital attire. Instead, they are decked out as a pirate, eye patch, parrot and all. It makes you wonder about the reason behind their choice.

Was the costume a quirky way to muster the courage for the surgery, or perhaps it was just their way of lightening the mood in a place where smiles can be scarce? Either way, this patient embraced a bit of fantasy in a very real situation. Jack Sparrow would be proud!
