#10: Eye-Opening Surgery
I wonder what goes through people’s minds sometimes. It’s astonishing to think that a patient prepping for a routine cataract surgery actually believed their eye would be removed for the procedure. These little, almost comical misunderstandings bring a lighter side to the often serious world of healthcare.

Like dropping off a watch for repairs, they seemed to think they could just leave their eye with the surgeon and pick it up later, all fixed and good as new. It shows that no matter how straightforward we think medical procedures are, there’s always room for some surprising, although slightly absurd, patient interpretations.
