#49: Tree Lights

Some of the best homemade Christmas decorations are the ones that you can make from stuff you already have around the home. They are wonderfully inexpensive (as in, free!) and also incredibly clever. Most of these DIY crafts don’t require any talent, only a little spare time and patience.

This one is super clever. The tomato cages that you packed away at the end of tomato season can come out of retirement for a little while. Simply turn it upside down; do you notice that it looks a bit like a Christmas tree? Then, wrap a couple of strands of Christmas lights around the entire thing. Now you have a tree of lights as a decoration or table centerpiece!
