#39: Surprising Bouquet

Most people associate pumpkins with Halloween. However, this gourd is not only around in October. It is an excellent winter gourd, so why not put it to good use for your holiday celebrations? Most of us have a few extra pumpkins laying around from Halloween, anyway. There are many ways you can decorate through the winter with pumpkins that won’t involve carving Jack-O-Lanterns.

For starters, why not make a centerpiece with one? You can do more than just plop a pumpkin down on your table. Scoop out the insides to hollow it out, then hide a small vase inside. Now you have a pumpkin vase! Fill it with short-stemmed seasonal flowers for a beautiful and creative addition to your holiday meals.
