Garlands are a very classy, sophisticated touch around the home at Christmas. They feel like an extension of your Christmas tree, only hung on banisters and from doorframes. Fake garlands can be fantastic because they can be used year after year, saving you money. But, unfortunately, they usually look like precisely what they are: fake and plastic.

You can keep your faux garland and still have a beautiful holiday decoration. With a little bit of wire and a little bit of yard clipping, you can make your anemic-looking garland look full and lush. Tie on some real branches along the length of your garland, making it as full and lush as it should be.
