This clever person figured out how to hide the ugly base and play up the spirit of the season. First, they stuck the base through a large box so that the stand was completely hidden. Next, they covered the box in some festive wrapping paper. Now they had a large gift under the tree, and their guests were none the wiser about their fake tree.
