Silence is Golden

So, we know that face characters like the Disney princesses are absolutely not allowed to break character in front of guests. But what about the full costume characters? Turns out they have some pretty specific guidelines to follow as well. Much like their fellow face characters, there’s one thing in particular they are not allowed to do.

Fully costumed characters like Goofy and Mickey have to remain completely silent at all times. Think about it. Have you ever heard Mickey Mouse talk when you pay him a visit at Disneyland? We didn’t think so, and any break in character would probably ruin the magic for a lot of kids. Staying silent no matter what is quite a feat, and we think these character cast members deserve all the applause for their talents and patience.
