What’s in a Name?

One of the rules cast members have to follow is wearing a name badge at all times. It’s part of the uniform, and staff can’t get out of it even if they forget theirs at home. Like a lot of other places, Disney parks will give cast members a loaner name badge if they don’t have their own. Hopefully, employees are prepared to go by a completely different identity if need be!

Another fun fact about Disney is that no two name tags can be the same. That’s right, if you have the same name as someone else, Disney will assign you a “stage name” so there are no duplicates. On top of that, Disney name tags don’t use last name initials, so there’s probably a lot of cast members walking around with fake identities. We think it would be kind of cool to have a secret Disney identity at work!
