#7: Jamie Foxx

Putting the words classically trained before naming any skill and you guarantee to make them sound like a fancy-schmancy something or other. I certainly didn’t pick Jamie Foxx as a fancy-schmancy something or other, but I guess if he’s classically trained, he must be both fancy and schmancy.

Maybe he goes under the radar because he likes to play a bit of a bad boy both on-screen and off-it. I’m imagining going to a concert and Jamie Foxx coming out to tell us, “Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight I’ll be performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2”. Something about it just doesn’t add up…
