#13: Steve Martin

Leave it to Steve Martin to excel at something so out of the ordinary. The star of Pink Panther is nothing if not eccentric, and that doesn’t stop at his sense of humor. But even so, serious banjo playing is not something we would have dreamed up for him to do.

I wonder if he has underground banjo concerts in some small, dark, dingy banjo bars whose only clientele are fellow banjo players and enthusiasts… Or else does he bring the crowd under the pretense of a stand-up show and then suddenly pull out his banjo mid-routine and subject the unsuspecting audience to two hours of blues?
