40. We All Value The Importance Of Honesty, Right?

Honesty is a valued and rare commodity in society nowadays; so afraid of social norms and of being judged are we, that we have often been taught to keep our opinions to ourselves. The biggest risk is for coming across as rude.

On the other hand, some people use this as an excuse to be a jerk. Be honest, but don’t be a jerk; there’s a diplomatic way to state your opinion, after all, and the flip side of honesty is knowing when to be honest about the good as well as the bad. Oh well.
