But fear not; fatalities from these underwater titans are as rare as snow in Honolulu. In fact, the latest incident involved a brave 50-year-old man who survived a tiger shark’s amorous nibble while swimming.

Miraculously, the man’s dance with death ended in a narrow escape when the shark, perhaps startled by his spirited resistance, decided to release him, as per various accounts. The reports further hinted at a chilling possibility – had the shark maintained its jaw clench, the man could have been bidding a tragic goodbye to his leg.
