North Dakota – Bison
Just like its southern sibling, North Dakota’s most fearsome creature is none other than the mighty bison. The CDC remains tight-lipped on official figures, but bison encounters are frequent enough to warrant their crown. A memorable 2017 incident in Theodore Roosevelt Park involved a bison playing matador with an elderly gentleman. The bison, acting as the bull, decided to headbutt the man, sending him into dreamland amidst some shrubbery.

Rousing from his unconscious state, he was met with a jarring sight; the bison had left a savage puncture wound on his thigh. Fortunately, with a quick wit and steady hands, he managed to bandage the ghastly injury. In the nick of time, a band of wandering hikers discovered him, their eyes wide with shock. With their help, he was swiftly transported to the safety and sterile confines of a nearby hospital.
