Indiana – Deer
The Hoosier State, Indiana, is a bustling hub of wildlife, hosting an array of mammals from elusive black bears to sly foxes. However, the unsuspecting deer takes center stage as the state’s top assassin. In 2016 alone, over 14,000 vehicular encounters with these graceful yet hazardous creatures were recorded. We can’t help but surmise that some of these unfortunate incidents may have ended in fatalities. Quite the deer disaster, wouldn’t you say?

Adding a dash of excitement, the only creature that dares to challenge the size of our previously mentioned mammal in this sprawling state is the mighty black bear. Encounters with these majestic beasts can indeed escalate into heart-pounding situations, but fear not! Despite their imposing stature and intimidating presence, these powerful creatures seldom engage in fatal confrontations. So, while they may give you a fright, they’re unlikely to be your last sight!
