#8: Ouch!
It always feels good to hear we are missed, but it feels even better when we know we’ve raised our kids with quick wits. You can’t even be mad that the stuffed animals are getting the feel-goods. Of course, they could take a stuffed animal to school, as opposed to a 6’2” dad, but whatever.

The best part is that kids don’t even realize how funny they are. Most of the time, they’re just being dead honest. The nuance of conversation escapes them until they hit puberty, and then it’s a whole lot of carefully delivered barbs and eye rolls. Parenting is fun. (Insert eye roll here).
