#46: There’s Always Room for Dessert

Every kid dreads the “finish your dinner” line, but they still ask for dessert. In our house, we reward logic. No matter the issue at hand, if they have a decent argument, they win. This? It would win big time. Coming up with a witty quip 100% deserves a cookie. And TV time. This is a quote for the books.

Thankfully, my kids haven’t figured this one out yet, or they’d never finish their dinner. I’m still working on the whole “I spent three hours making this. You should at least take ONE bite!” All I can do is look forward to the years when my grandkids turn it back on my kids. The circle of life will take care of it all.
