#41: Shower Thoughts

Kids notice the strangest things. We do name our pets and then never introduce ourselves properly. Actually, I can’t remember a single time I offered up a friend’s name after introducing them to my dog. It goes like this: “This is Sadie! She’s a good girl.” That’s it. Now that I know, though, the introductions will be going both ways.

I mean, it’s not like our pets don’t understand. I have a friend that comes over quite often, and the second I mention her name, my dogs get super excited. They’re well aware of who she is; I just never bothered to direct that knowledge at them. Now I feel bad about it.
