First of all, flannel hoodies are timeless. That’s Grant’s first mistake. Second, referencing archaic communication like a phone call is just asking for a snappy comeback. Thirdly, Grant’s kid is technically wrong. Texting was possible in 1992. Sure, it was T9, but it still counts as far as I’m concerned.

Still, so long as she keeps up the quick wit, she’s going to be a-okay. The middle school and high school years are tough, but that split-second comeback can make all the difference when standing up for yourself or a friend. So, it’s okay, Grant. You’re doing something right, and you should be proud!
