#20: A Job Well Done
Fads are often pretty handy when it comes to fixing things around the house. Why is it that all fathers out there know how to change a lightbulb, repair a broken washing machine, and fix a crooked table? How did they all accumulate this knowledge, and why don’t they pass it down to their wives and kids?

Perhaps they know that’s their only leverage over us, and they want to keep this power to themselves. I’m not saying women can’t change a lightbulb – generally speaking, women can do anything that men can do – it’s just that it’s always naturally the father’s job around the house. Maybe it makes them feel needed and appreciated.
