Australia is a vast and expansive land that is anything but diminutive in size. While it enjoys the privilege of occupying an entire continent, most of its territory remains barren and unsuitable for substantial human settlement. Challenges include the presence of highly venomous creatures and arid, rain-deprived landscapes.

As a result, a staggering 11 million individuals, comprising half of the nation’s populace, have chosen to reside within the demarcated red zones on the map. Strikingly, these populated areas appear to occupy a mere fraction, roughly 1%, of the entire landmass that constitutes Australia. This distribution highlights the unique challenges and geographic characteristics of this vast country-continent.
