Making the Rifleman Accessible
Just like many beloved classics, The Rifleman made a seamless transition from VCR to DVD, allowing fans to revisit the series with enhanced picture quality on their larger screens. The DVD release of the show spanned from 2002 to 2006, comprising six sets, each containing 20 episodes.

However, these DVD sets didn’t necessarily mirror the original broadcast order of episodes. Instead, they presented a mix of episodes in random sequences. Despite the initial DVD releases not achieving overwhelming success, the tide turned in 2013 when the original producer regained the rights to the series. In response to fans’ demands, all 168 episodes were reissued in a sequential order, ensuring that viewers could once again savor the series as it was originally intended.
