Yes, Sergeant
In a later chapter of his life, Johnny Crawford made a patriotic choice to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. From 1965 onwards, he dedicated two years of his life to military service, rising to the rank of sergeant. What many may not realize is that his prior experience in the world of television, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, allowed him to contribute valuable insights to the direction of the Army’s training videos.

It might not seem like the two things overlap, however, it was a unique intersection of skills and experiences that showcased his multifaceted talents. Later on, Crawford returned to his soldierly roots by taking on the role of a serviceman in an episode of the iconic series Hawaii Five-O.
