Elephant Transportation

We’re all aware that India has some transportation problems, but these in-transit photos keep getting more and more ridiculous! As we’ve said before, camels and elephants are active participants in festivals. Owners dress them up to participate and help celebrate. If the festival is across the river, the elephant will need a ride to and from! 

We will probably never know how they managed to get an elephant into a canoe on the water. The U.S. could make a reality show off of that preparation alone. Judging by its makeup, it looks like this elephant helped celebrate the Indian Holi Festival of color. Hopefully, the tiny boat can make the trip next year too!
