Tallest Statue in the World

If visiting India, one may want to wander over to see the tallest statue in the world! The Statue of Unity is actually located in the province of Gujarat, next to the mouth of the Narmada River. It was constructed to honor one of the founders of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 

The momentous statue stands 597 feet tall and is quite wondrous to behold. Indian stonework and architecture have always been deeply respected and admired around the world. They have some of the most beautiful and elaborate structures in the world. If visiting the area, this monument is a must-see!
