Tigon (Male Tiger + Female Lion)
The Tigon is a hybrid big cat resulting from the crossbreeding of a male tiger and a female lion. Unlike its counterpart, the Liger (which is the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger), the Tigon is generally smaller in size, with characteristics that lean more toward its lion heritage. Tigons often exhibit a tawny coat with faint stripes and a tuft of hair at the end of their tails.

Sadly, these hybrids are extremely rare in the wild and are typically found in captivity since the habitats of tigers and lions rarely overlap. Due to their mixed genetics, Tigons may inherit some unique traits from both lion and tiger parents, making them a fascinating example of interbreeding among large feline species.
