Mulard (Domestic Duck + Domestic Muscovy)
The Mulard, also known as the Moulard, is a hybrid resulting from the crossbreeding of a domestic duck, typically a Pekin or Rouen, with a domestic Muscovy duck. This hybrid is valued for its unique combination of traits from its parent species. Mulards are renowned for their exceptional meat quality, making them a popular choice in the culinary world.

Mulards also exhibit strong disease resistance, making them hardy and easier to raise than purebred ducks. While they are primarily raised for meat production, they can also be kept for their eggs and ornamental purposes due to their attractive, swan-like appearance, with a mixture of traits from both parent breeds.
