Eastern Coyote (Coyote + Wolf + Domestic)
The Eastern Coyote, also known as the Coywolf, is a hybrid resulting from the interbreeding of three distinct species: the coyote, the wolf, and domestic dogs. This fusion of genetic traits has created a unique canid that has adapted to the urban and suburban environments of North America. Eastern Coyotes are larger than their western counterparts, resembling small wolves in appearance, with a mix of physical characteristics from all three contributing species.

They possess the adaptability and intelligence of coyotes, some of the social behaviors of wolves, and the tolerance for human presence from domestic dogs. This hybridization process has allowed them to thrive in various habitats, from remote wilderness areas to densely populated urban landscapes, making them a testament to the evolutionary flexibility of canids in the face of changing ecosystems.
