49. Maybe Not a Great Idea
Despite widespread global adoption of the metric system, the U.S. continues to rely predominantly on its customary units, such as inches, feet, and pounds, for everyday measurements. This unique stance has occasionally presented challenges in international trade, scientific research, and education, where the metric system is more widely employed.

Despite the fact that the United States officially switched to the metric system years ago, no one has actually bothered to phase out the Imperial system in favor of the more widespread Metric system. Sometimes you just like to do what you always did.
