Our Favorite Couple

Many of us grew up watching Arthur, the animated educational TV series that was released in 1996 and we’ve become pretty attached to the characters. Did you know it ran for 25 seasons? Most of the kids who watched the early seasons stopped watching at some point – because they grew out of it – but a couple of years ago, something very exciting happened.

The lovable teacher, Mr. Ratburn, came out of the closet and married a man. This is an educational TV series, so maybe they felt like they had to take another step in that direction and get with the times? Teach children about acceptance? This is a lovely plotline, and fans of all ages couldn’t contain their excitement when it was announced.
