Sometimes, our dreams don’t match our budget. Plenty of couples have dozens of ideas for their wedding, but those ideas usually have to be whittled down to fit into a certain price range. This couple had the awesome idea of having a live painting done of them at their wedding, but reality soon came crashing through.

They soon realized that hiring an artist to do a live painting would cost them at least $1,000. Everyone in the thread thought that was a lot of money, until someone came in and set them straight. For a live painting, you’re paying someone for the supplies, time, labor, and their unique set of skills. Not everyone can paint a portrait in such a short amount of time! If it’s not in your budget to pay artists a fair wage, it’s time to find an alternative option.
