There is a certain understanding that when you put on a wedding for your friends and family, they will repay the favor as a gift. And while this might be frustrating for some people to grapple with, it is the reality of the situation.

However, some brides and grooms take this whole “giving” situation out of proportion. The wedding guests should be allowed to bring whatever gift they want, whether that is money or an actual present. It is also their responsibility to decide how much money they will be giving.
