Reverse Psychology

It’s not the same as reverse psychology, but this cop deserves an award for his smooth talking and persuasion skills. It probably took a lot of critical thinking to know which plan would get her to go with him to a hospital. Some people really can’t accept being wrong, so sometimes persuasion is the only route to go. 

And it worked! Perhaps with the help of some acting skills and a lot of faith. The cop made the woman feel validated, so she would not doubt his intentions. It’s definitely a win-win situation for everyone involved! I still can’t understand how the woman thought this was a good idea, though.
