It’s the Same Thing
We’re here to say a controversial opinion: the customer is NOT always right. Having employees act like the customer can never be wrong is a common service principle of many companies. But, if you’ve ever worked a customer service job you know first-hand just how ridiculous and outlandish some customer questions and demands can be. This grocery store cashier was able to answer this person’s question without being rude, and we don’t know how they did it.

Someone came in looking for overnight oats, which is just oatmeal left in the fridge overnight to soak and absorb yummy flavors. This customer obviously didn’t have any idea how overnight oats were made, because they insisted regular oats were different from overnight oats. (Spoiler alert: they’re not). This cashier kept their cool and tried to let the customer know of their mistake in a snarky but polite way. Hopefully, they got the idea after that, but who knows.
