These are two different species of bird, right? Wrong. Not only is this not showing two different species of bird, but this side-by-side comparison is showing the exact same bird in its lifetime. Take a look and try to make sense of this bald eagle, who most certainly doesn’t begin its life very “bald”.

Weird, right? Bald eagles seem to start their life a lot less majestic than they look when they get older. It takes a few years for a bald eagle to go “bald”, but it’s a pretty good look, don’t you think? Even their beaks change color, can you believe it? Mother Nature is wild.
